Protecting your investments at our institution is important to us, therefore we have established procedures for verifying your identity when you contact us concerning your account. On occasion you may be asked to provide picture identification or to verify certain information contained in our records such as your account number, address, telephone and social security number when inquiring about or accessing your account. Although at times this may pose an inconvenience for you, please understand that we are doing so in order to protect the funds you have on deposit with us.
The above procedures apply only when you contact us concerning your account, we will never contact you via phone or e-mail and ask you to provide us personal information. If you receive such a request, please contact your local office of Banner Banks immediately.
In compliance with Federal Law we are required to verify and document the identity of individuals who open accounts with us. In order to meet these requirements when you apply to open an account with us we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, social security number and other pertinent information. We will also ask you to provide us with a valid drivers license, and/or other documents necessary to verify your identity. Due to these requirements, it will be necessary for you to apply for your account in person, as we will not open accounts by mail.
At Banner Banks, we recognize that our customers expect, and have a right to expect, financial privacy in their banking relationship. This is a responsibility we take very seriously. You should know that we do not share information about you with any third party except as specified in this Notice.
We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:
